Basil and Marie have been happily married for years. Their marriage gets less happy when Marie finds out she can’t have a baby. Hoping to cheer her up on her fortieth birthday, Basil goes to Changeman’s Jewelry Store to buy her a silver and turquoise bracelet. The legend attached to the bracelet says that the wearer can make a wish for their heart’s desire–but that wish might not be answered in the way the one making the wish expects.

When Basil gives the bracelet to Marie, her wish is that they could have a child. The next morning, Basil wakes up as a pregnant young woman! As strange as it is to be a woman, he’s also having the morning sickness, cravings, and pains of a pregnant woman. But if he can see it through, he and Marie might finally have the child they’ve wished for.
